Marcello Magni

Marcel (Shaw Theatre London)

Graduated in Paris from the Jacques Lecoq School, he further refined his training with Philippe Gaulier, Monica Pagneux, Pierre Byland, Yves Lebreton and Donato Sartori.

He was a founding member of Théâtre de Complicité in London, a company with which he performed for over 25 years. He was an actor at Shakespeare’s Globe, appearing in The Merchant of Venice, The Comedy of Errors, and Pericles, and delivering a masterful performance as the Fool in King Lear.

In Fragments, The Valley of Astonishment, and Why?, he was directed by Peter Brook at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris. For Brook, he also directed movement for Mozart’s The Magic Flute, during its world tour in 2010.

He also worked for the Royal National Theatre in London, the Royal Shakespeare
Company, and performed at TFANA in New York, the Sendagaya Theatre in Tokyo, and the Theatre of Epidaurus in Greece.
